The Rev. Beth Hayward

The Rev. Beth Hayward will be our guest preacher on Sunday, April 27th.

Beth, a native of Nova Scotia and a graduate of the Atlantic School of Theology, was ordained by Maritime Conference in 2000.

Beth has worked in a six-point Pastoral Charge in Newfoundland, as Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Presbyterian Church in Canada’s Inner City Mission Evangel Hall and as Minister of Christian Development and Family Ministry at Leaside United Church, Toronto. Beth brings to her ministry and leadership experience from Latin America, from rural and inner city Canada and from her role as Mom to Leah (4) and Anna (2).

Rev. Wayne Hilliker

The Rev. Dr. Wayne Hilliker, Minister Emeritus of Chalmers, will preach on Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Wayne Hilliker was ordained by The United Church of Canada in 1966 and served at Chalmers from 1983 to 2005. He was awarded an honourary Doctor of Divinity by Queen’s Theological College in May, 2006. Upon his retirement from Chalmers the congregation established a preaching lectureship in his name. The 2008 lecture will be presented by Barbara Brown Taylor.
