The Rev. Dr. Catherine MacLean, minister of St. Paul’s United Church in Edmonton, will be the guest preacher at Chalmers United Church on Sunday, October 17, prior to the 118th Annual Conference of the Queen’s School of Religion.
For their annual co-production, continuing more than a century of such concerts, Melos and Chalmers Choir will perform Joseph Haydn's Mass in Time of War and J. S. Bach's Magnificat in D Major (BWV 243) at Baroque pitch with a chamber orchestra playing Baroque instruments. Soloists will be Gilda DiCola Mills, Erica Warder, Janice Coles, David Pike, and Christopher Mayell. Produced jointly with Chalmers Church. Directed by Dr David Cameron. This will be David's final Good Friday concert as Chalmers United Church Director of Music, having served for 44 years.
Come and join members and friends of Chalmers Choir and the Melos Choral Ensemble for an evening of light and cheerful music and rich desserts for Valentine's weekend.
