The Rev. Barbara Brown Taylor
Barbara Brown Taylor, one of North America's most eloquent preachers, has accepted and invitation to be the 2008 speaker for the annual Hilliker Preaching Lectureship at Chalmers United Church, Kingston, Ontario. A teacher at Piedmont College and Columbia Theological Seminary, Barbara is an Anglican priest with a writer's soul. She is the award winning author of 11 books including her lates, entitled "Leaving Church". Of it, one reviewer has remarked, "Barbara does not storm out of the church slamming the door. She walks out talking, the door left ajar for more words to follow." We will be privileged to hear more of her words on this special weekend.
